I haven't posted an update in five months now, which is not coincidentally almost how long I've lived in Los Angeles now. It's been a busy year for me. The most grueling semester of my college education, was thankfully also my last. It's not official because I haven't received the paper to hang on my wall, but the work is done. Here's to student loans!
All the images in this post are ones that I took on my road trip from New Hampshire to California with Anna Jepson (she's also the subject of 50% of them). I took a lot of photos before we got to New Mexico but sadly one of my memory cards corrupted and I lost them all.
LA has been incredible. Despite growing up in New Hampshire, the cold drives me insane. Anything below 50 and I'm crying like a baby. So let's just say the weather is like chicken soup for the soul. As far as what I've been up to, I've been blessed to do some of freelance photography through Matte Black, the company Anna works for as an art director. I finished my internship at the commercial production company Caviar LA, and they asked me to come back through the end of January. I've also started a Los Angeles music blog, which I've neglected over the holidays but plan on reviving now that I'm back.
LA is inspiring. I'm surrounded by some of the most creative people in the film and music industries. I can't go a day without learning something new. I can't imagine living here forever, it's not that kind of place in my eyes, but I am soaking up every ounce of it while I am lucky enough to be here.
